A little about us. Canidae dog food and Felidae cat food is not just a business to us .. it's a belief, supported by our animals excellent health and appearance, that there is no better pet food available on the market. We've been feeding Canidae/Felidae to our Bullmastiffs, French Bulldogs and Cats long before we became a full service distributor for the Canidae Corporation. As pet owners we've been enthusiastic customers since 1996. As a business, we've been a full service regional distributor since 2000.
Our personal requirement in a pet food is easy to define: exceptional quality product that endorses holistic health and cost effective to feed to our very big family of dogs. Canidae certainly meets both criteria. The only reason why we feed Canidae is because we believe in it. The reason starts with the ingredient list ....
A quick lesson in ingredient lists ...... The heaviest ingredients are listed first, the second heaviest second, the third listed third and so on. From the list below, you can see that of the top 7 ingredients, 5 are meat or fish proteins. That's good.

(Why Meal is BETTER than whole Meat)
NO "digest" or "By-product", which is partly defined as "... parts, other than meat ... which includes lung ... spleen ... fatty tissue". We find those types of ingredients objectionable
NO beef, soy, wheat or corn. Many dogs and cats have allergies to beef, soy, wheat or corn. Some animals have a rough time digesting some of that stuff.
NO artificial preservatives. Canidae uses natural methods to ensure that the food doesn't go bad. Some say that artificial preservatives can cause cancer and other health problems.
Look at that list .. is there anything on that list that isn't good enough for you? If it's good enough for you .. it should be good enough for your pets!
Did you notice on the list .. there are herbs, minerals, vitamins, probiotics, amino acids, natural oils and beneficial enzymes? That's all good ... mother earths way of natural nutrition.
Ingredients aren't the only thing - QUALITY of ingredients means so much. The meat in Canidae is suitable for human consumption and is USDA grade "A". That means you don't find any meat that is classified 4-D in Canidae, "dead, diseased, decayed or dying".
Another nice thing about Canidae .. and the other good quality feeds ... is lower poop size. Canidae is considered to be highly digestible .. meaning most the food is absorbed and little is returned. (Big dog owners know where we are coming from!)
Each bag of Canidae and Felidae are clearly marked with the date the food was made and when it expires. Stored in proper conditions Canidae will last for a year or more in a sealed bag -and for six months after being opened. How many pet foods have you seen with actual dates of production and expiration?
