Bulk sales is perfect for multiple pet homes, breeders, kennels, clubs and associations that consume higher volumes of pet food.
Bulk sales is based on weight. The more you buy, the better the discount. The same is true with shipping; higher discounts with heavier order. We have two basic programs:
- Shipping by United Parcel Service for 200 - 300 lbs orders.
- Shipping by Truck for orders over 500 lbs.

How does delivery work?
Orders shipped by UPS will arrive in boxes. UPS can not ship to PO boxes - you must have a physical address.
Freight/Truck orders will be "shrink wrapped" on a standard freight pallet. A few things must be understood when it comes by truck:
- These are big trucks -often "18 wheelers". The food must be delivered to an area that a big truck can get in and out of with out problems. That means the road is wide enough, no low over hanging trees, no load controlled bridges, no need to do a lot of backing up or sharp corners. It will be unlikely the truck will be able to back into the driveway.
- You must be able assist in taking the food off the truck. The trucker will bring it to the back of the truck, you need to be able to lift it off.
If your location will be difficult to get to or if you don't have the scheduling flexibility .. you can pick the shipment up at the local truck terminal

How much should I buy?
First of all ... don't buy a lot until you know your dog or cat like the product! Almost all pets do well on Canidae .. though there is no "perfect" pet food .. although Canidae comes close!
We recommend that you purchase no more than 6 months of food at a time. Canidae has a year shelf life from when it was made .. those dates are listed on the front of the bag. But having a bunch of dog food bags sitting around will take up room in your house and accidents could happen to the bags. We do not recommend storing it on the damp basement floor or in a hot garage or shed
Many people get together as a group and split a large order amongst themselves. This is a very popular thing to do.
Any hidden costs?
Not really. In Texas you will have to pay a sales tax. Shipping is pre-paid by us. You don't have to pay the trucker or UPS delivery person. If it's a tough day for them ... they might appreciate an iced tea or a brownie.
Please note: The trucker may bill us for "accessorial charges" . Accessorial charges include re-delivery fees, inside delivery, residential delivery, delivery appointments etc. If the trucker charges us -then we will charge you. Call us about details.
